This type of pathology affects more than 20% of the population, regardless of the age group considered by medical studies. It can be said that 1 in 4 patients is or will become allergic, taking into account all types of allergic manifestations and at the same time knowing that most of them do not have a precise medical diagnosis and no specialized treatment.
The clinical manifestations are in direct relation to an IgE-mediated hypersensitivity of immunological type: systemic type (Quinke’s edema, anaphylactic shock), or localized to the target organs (conjunctivitis, rhinitis/sinusitis, laryngitis, bronchitis-astm, diarrhea, rectitis, dermatitis, angioedema, urticaria, emaciation) and triggered by the release of histamine systemically or in the target organs.
All types of allergies are treated:
a. Immune-allergic diseases, especially those with a reactive mechanism (GELL and COOMBS class I): rhinitis, bronchitis, asthma, prurigo, urticaria, angioedema, as well as digestive allergic manifestations, especially if accompanied by skin or respiratory allergies.
b. Chronic idiopathic urticaria, atopic dermatitis and “cold” allergies
The aim of spa treatment is to reduce exposure to allergens by removing the patient from the daily source, advising the physician to avoid the allergen (when known) and reducing serum and intra-serum histamine levels through the direct effect of H2S from the mineral waters of the resort.
